At Orleans Park Sixth Form, learning does not stop at the classroom door. Our enrichment programme gives you the chance to get involved in sports, creative projects, volunteering, debating, and academic societies, all while building leadership skills along the way.
Through PSHE, you will pick up life skills like managing money, building healthy relationships, preparing for work, and understanding diversity. You will also take part in sport and wellbeing activities, mentor younger students, and get involved in the wider school and local community, including opportunities like the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
We encourage all students to get involved in the wide range of exciting leadership opportunities available across our school. Joining our established Student Leadership Team is a fantastic way to develop your skills, make a real difference in our school community, and have your voice heard. Leadership here isn’t just about responsibility, it's about creativity, collaboration, and shaping the experiences of your fellow students.

Students in the sixth form are required to take part in sport and wellbeing activities at least once a week and will sign up for specific activities at the start of each term. Many of our sixth formers take part in competitive fixtures on behalf of the school.
We also have a number of talented sports people who compete at national and international level, who we fully support alongside their academic studies. Many of our sixth form students also support with extra curricular sporting clubs in the lower school.
Enrichment options range from competitive sport and recreational wellbeing activities, to volunteering, debating, academic societies and creative projects. Our enrichment programme offers a wide range of opportunities for students’ personal development and growth, with lots of opportunities for student leadership.
Our PSHE curriculum equips students with the essential life skills that they will need, in order to be respectful, resilient and responsible citizens. Topics that students study include:
Sixth Formers play a central role in the life of the wider school community and have a positive influence on students in the lower school. Whether it be as student leaders, mentors and role models, students contribute to the ethos and energy of the whole school community.
Many students take up mentoring roles with younger students, support subject departments in lessons, tutor younger students, or lead on house events and extra-curricular clubs. Others get involved in outreach or support within the local community.
Students in the sixth form are also encouraged to participate in the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, please find further information about the DofE Gold Award by clicking the link below:
