We are immensely proud of our SEND students as they embark on their next chapters after completing Year 11 and Year 13.
Our aim is always to equip our young people with the skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive.
We therefore support our students from an early age with thinking about their next steps and ensuring that they go on to appropriate yet aspirational destinations.
Seeing so many of our leavers successfully transition to exciting new pathways at both post-16 and post-18 is a true testament to their hard work, resilience and ambition.
All students with SEND receive personalised careers guidance designed around their strengths, aspirations and future ambitions.
Families are welcome to attend careers appointments where appropriate. Students with EHCPs receive additional support through AFC's Next Steps programme.
Through our Functional Skills and Nurture programmes, students are supported to develop:

Independence
|

|
These skills prepare students for life beyond school and support successful transitions into further education, employment and adulthood
